It Is Not the Left. It Is Not the Right. It Is Polarization.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk is not just a tragedy for his family, friends, and supporters. It is a grim reminder of the force tearing at the very fabric of today's world: polarization.
Polarization breaks dialogue. It strips the other of humanity. Violence ceases to shock; it becomes rational, even logical. Gratuitous gore is normalized. Cruelty turns into spectacle - consumed as entertainment, celebrated in the public arena. Enough.
History shows us another way. From Athens to Rome, from Babylon to Córdoba, from Paris to Florence, great civilizations rose on debate and the exchange of ideas. They argued fiercely, but argument was the engine of progress. Today we don’t converse. We insult, abuse, and harass from behind screens - often hiding behind AI-made avatars and fake accounts.

One can love the same gender, and another can live in a traditional marriage. One can wave a rainbow flag, and another can hang a crucifix. One can see abortion as a right, and another as murder. One can praise socialism, and another cheer capitalism.
Differences are meant to be debated, not used as excuses to destroy.
We must unlearn ten years of despicable algorithms on polarizing social media and polarizing media that taught us outrage equals belonging. We must (re)learn that difference ≠ danger. To debate fiercely, then leave without hate.
The other is not the enemy. Polarization is.
Coexistence is the solution, not annihilation.
Enough with polarization.
